This Truck Driver Could Definitely Use a Backup Camera

Think you're having a bad day? How about this Audi motorist who was caught behind a truck whose driver missed a turn and then simply decided to back up on the road.

As you would expect, such a big vehicle has many blind spots, especially towards the rear, which is why their drivers should exercise extra caution when attempting any change of direction.

Playing Real Life Bumper Cars isn't in the Least Amusing

As scary as this incident may have been for the driver and passengers of the vehicle fitted with the dashboard camera, it could have ended, worse…much, much worse.

The passenger car was traveling on the highway when a truck on the opposite side of the road (look at the 15-second mark) suddenly turned or lost control, we cannot be certain from this distance, and crossed through the other lane.

Dedicated Traffic Officer Hit by a Truck gets on his Feet and Goes Back to Work!

Talk about impeccable work ethics. A police officer, who according to some online commentators, was directing traffic in Kazakhstan (if the incident occurred in another country, leave us a note below), was knocked down by a careless truck driver.

We could be wrong, but from what we can tell, the truck looks like it drove over the cop's foot before it continued on its way.

You Won't Believe What this Truck Driver Found in the Middle of the Road

Truck drivers have the unique opportunity to see many things while traveling on the road for miles and miles on end, some of which are interesting, some of which are boring and some of which are, well, just plain scary.

Without much debating, we decided that we are going to count this one as odd, shocking and mostly sad, all at the same time.

Poor Girl Gets Whacked in the Head from a Truck's Open Tailgate

We’ll fully agree with those of you who believe that pedestrians should use the sidewalk and not the road, but in this particular incident, we think the fault lies chiefly with the truck driver who hadn't  secured the vehicle's tailgate. Read more »

The driver of a Porsche Cayman coupe was filmed by an adjacent vehicle fitted with a dashboard-mounted camera smashing violently into the rear end of a truck at high speed.

The accident, which looks like it took place in China or at least in a neighboring country (if any of our readers can help with the translation, leave us a message in the comments), occurred when the Cayman driver didn't notice the truck that did not have any lights open at the back and was traveling on the left hand side of the road.

Watch the Devastating Effects of a Truck's Tire Exploding on a Taiwanese Highway

Most of the times, when we think of a tire problem, our mind automatically goes to a flat, which is indeed a routine problem that can be quickly fixed. This can be done either by pulling over to the side of the road and swapping it with a spare, or in the case you roll on run-flats, by driving to a nearby tire shop.

A flat is one thing, but a tire blowout or explosion is a completely different and much, much more dangerous scenario altogether, even more so when you're talking about a large wheel on a heavy commercial vehicle.

Bet You Haven't Seen a Truck Driver Do This Before

Okay, the bet is probably off if you have been to a cotton-picking farm, but if you haven't, then you are going to be impressed by the technique developed to load huge cotton rolls onto a truck bed without any external help.

The cotton rolls are laid down on their side with the truck driver scooping them up as is into the loading area that is equipped with a conveyor belt floor. The next step is to offload the rolls onto the ground on their flat side and then pick them up and head off for delivery.

Holy Russian Luck! Driver and Passenger Make it Out Alive from Horrific Accident

True, Russian dashboard cameras have afforded us hundreds and hundreds of spine-tingling accidents over the years, but we cannot honestly remember any as shocking as this one, and at the same time, ending on a happy note.

Once again, the protagonist in this scene is driving a classic Lada / VAZ 2101 saloon.

We're not sure if the driver attempted a foolish overtake of if he was trying to avoid something on the road, but he drove between two busses in his lane and lost control of the RWD sedan crashing side first into a large truck on the other lane, which sent him flying into one of the busses (with the camera).

Lucky or Talented? Russian Truck Driver Avoids Crash in Style

The jury is still out on whether the protagonist of our latest Russian offbeat video had lady luck on his side or if he's that good behind the wheel of a truck, but either way, the save was impressive, to say the least.

If you pay attention to the dashboard camera-sourced footage, at about seven seconds into the video, you can see an old (or new, it's the same thing anyway…) Lada Niva 4x4 legally entering the road from a side street.
